Youth Programs & Services
In 1973, with YCI's first grant of $25,000 to reduce juvenile delinquency, we set out to offer the area's youth more opportunities to work and study. Today we serve children and youth from age 5 through young adults age 21 and beyond. Our participants are diverse and come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.
Our Youth Co-Op Charter School (YCCS) is a Title I public school-of-choice which teaches 525 children in grades K-8 using state-of-the-art teaching methods and small class sizes. YCCS has been recognized by the governor, won numerous awards, and earned an "A" rating meeting all AYP categories since its inception.
